ICEM DDN Metaphase Interface

ICEM DDN Interface Module
The Metaphase ICEM DDN Interface module adds ICEM DDN data classes to the Metaphase database and customizes the Metaphase Object Management Framework (OMF) module to support ICEM DDN data.

The ICEM DDN application includes Metaphase interface client functions. These functions require a new ICEM DDN Interface module which must be installed in Metaphase.

OMF: ICEM DDN Action items are provided to:

  • Register/copy/move ICEM DDN files
  • Rename ICEM DDN parts
  • Update ICEM DDN libraries
  • Populate ICEM DDN libraries
  • Register directives files
  • Translate ICEM DDN parts to IGES/DXF/VDA files
  • Translate IGES/DXF/VDA files to ICEM DDN parts

OMF: ICEM DDN Create items are provided to create:

  • ICEM DDN data
  • ICEM DDN libraries
  • Categories
  • Attribute names
  • IGES/DXF/VDA directive files

OMF: ICEM DDN Query items are provided to query for:

  • ICEM DDN data classes
  • ICEM DDN launch parameters
  • IGES/DXF/VDA data classes
  • IGES/DXF/VDA directive files

Metaphase “Vault Locations” or “Work Locations” are used as ICEM DDN libraries.

Attribute name/values are supported for ICEM DDN parts. Attribute name/values may be added to ICEM DDN parts by the Update Item selection in the OMF Info menu. The Query dialog boxes for ICEM DDN parts allow a user to query based on one or more attribute name/values.

The ICEM DDN Interface module adds an “ICEMDDN Tool” class object named “ICEMDDN” to the database. The ICEMDDN Tool is used to launch the ICEM DDN application within OMF.

A Dialog Box allows selection of ICEM DDN execution parameters when launching ICEM DDN.

The ICEM DDN execution parameters may by saved in the Metaphase database on a host/user basis.

The ICEM DDN library parameters to be used by ICEM DDN are selected by “Usr/Vault” and “ICEM DDN Library/Vault Location/Work Location” name. This allows ICEM DDN users to share ICEM DDN libraries.

ICEM DDN Application Interface

The ICEM DDN application interfaces directly to Metaphase through a ICEM DDN server (ddnserv) using client/server architecture. The ICEM DDN server provides access to the Metaphase database. ICEM DDN logs ICEM DDN data and accesses the database for information on existing data.
