ICEM DDN Version 3.4.04

This release has been certified on the Windows 2000 operating system in addition to the existing platforms. The ICEM Facet Milling module has been significantly enhanced with features in the area of scan processing. Scan Processing is very well suited for anyone working with reverse engineering projects, and is especially useful for those who need to be able to mill the point cloud or facet data directly.

Here are some highlights of the new functionality:

• Smoothing functionality has been implemented in contour modification.
• A Balloon Help (Tooltips) is now provided for the Information Bar.
• You can now create a rectangle by specifying the center and a corner point.
• The ORGA SQL functionality is now available under Windows NT.
• Enhanced Curvature Diagnosis on Curves and Surfaces are now provided as well as Enhanced Section Diagnosis on Surfaces.
• The number of Base Passes and Side Passes in NC Profiling has been increased.
• An iterative optimization of Stepover in NC Pocketing is now provided.
• In NC Surface Milling, a follow-up Lace Toolpath for Scallop Removal has been introduced as an additional option.
• Clean-up Cutting with Constant Step Over or with a Scallop Height is provided for ASM Finishing.
• DXF Tolerance and DXF Leader processing have been incorporated into the DXF Translator.
• The Unigraphics direct translator has been incorporated in ICEM DDN 3.4.04.
